Adrian and Ollie join Naomi House to take on ABPSouthampton Half

Adrian Kowal is returning to ABP Southampton 2024 to complete another half marathon. His son Ollie joins the race in his wheelchair buggy which allows the pair to enjoy the highs of the event together.

The duo will be raising funds for Naomi House & Jacksplace who provide expert hospice care to more than 550 life limited and life threatened children, young adults and families from central southern England. A home from home environment with a mission to deliver nursing, care, play and respite to those and their supportive units experiencing or supervising complex medical diagnoses. In times of stress and emergency Naomi House & Jacksplace will adhere to general concerns and attempt to mitigate the emotional pressures experienced within such circumstances.

Ollie Kowal started his journey with Naomi House in 2018 when in respite, the family was amazed at the facilities and support they received throughout their stay in the organisation's overnight ward. The family found they were able to sleep comfortably whilst knowing Ollie was being looked after by incredible nurses. Having utilised Naomi House several times over the past few years, Ollie and his family have gotten to share meals, go swimming and haven't needed to stress about monitoring his medication on a daily basis.

To give back Adrian, Ollie's Dad, has registered with us at ABP Southampton Marathon to support the generous cause that is Naomi House & Jacksplace for their continuous care and support to thousands of children and families in the local area. If you care to donate and help Adrian and Ollie reach their fundraising goal, please head over to the link www.justgiving.com/page/adrianandollie

Ollie is a huge Southampton F.C fan also, so if you happen to see him on event day representing the Saints, don't forget to share the love. Him and his Gramps go to as many home games as they can and enjoy every second. Remember, if you are considering applying for one of the ABP Southampton Distances that you too can register with a local or lead charity and join Ollie, his dad and hundreds of others as we support some great causes.
